This wool duvet & organic buckwheat hull pillow are handmade in Devon with a British wool (OEKO-TEX standard 100) filling in the duvet and firm organic hulls inside the pillow. Wool controls humidity, is temperature regulating, anti dust mite, breathable & hypoallergenic.

The Duvet:

This 100% British wool duvet is made by hand in the UK. Combining 100% British wool (responsibly sourced) into a 100% cotton cover for a luxurious, lofty duvet.

The Putnams Organic buckwheat hull pillow is a natural pillow alternative. We use 100% organic buckwheat husks & a 100% cotton, undyed, unbleached cover to keep this product as natural as possible. This pillow also comes with one internal cover to hold the organic hulls & one external cover to change more often for washing.

What are the benefits of a wool duvet?

Wool is a natural by-product that is chemical free. Wool fibres are self-regulating meaning that they regulate temperature. When it is hot they feel cool and when it is cold they feel hot. This keeps the flocks on our surrounding Dartmoor happy, all year round. 

Wool also draws away moisture removing that clammy feeling and letting you have the best undisturbed nights sleep possible. 

It has also been found in a study that sleeping with wool products adds up to 25% more stage 4 regenerative sleep. Meaning that you will wake up more refreshed and have more energy in your day.

About organic buckwheat hulls:

We advise that you remove hulls to suit & store them for future use. The firmness of the pillow cannot be altered, buckwheat pillows are firm. Buckwheat hulls are easy to manipulate into shape for bespoke support every night. They are also naturally hypoallergenic & are much cooler than standard foam pillows.
